Why I Joined SITES by Alexander Rios

As a child I've always loved science unconditionally; science is one of the most extravagant things in the world. It opens our eyes to new things and it's a never ending puzzle waiting to be solved. There are three major reasons why I applied to the Summer Introduction to Engineering and Science (SITES) Program.

One reason is that this is an amazing opportunity to garner real-world job experience. Another reason why I wanted to join is to get an introduction to engineering as the science industry has skyrocketed since 2013. According to reports, the science industry has been more in demand so I thought to get some fulfilling and fun experience in the field over the summer. The last reason why I joined is that this SITES opportunity will allow me to dive into more specific areas of science that I'm interested in including computer science.

I'm excited to learn and discover new things!
